"Only A Fool Would Say That" is the fifth track of Steely Dan's debut album Can't Buy A Thrill. It was also released as a the b-side to "Reelin' In The Years", a single which charted at #11 on the Billboard Top 100. The track has been covered by various different artists such as SpringWheel and Ivy.
According to some sources, "Only A Fool Would Say That" was never performed in full, but rather as a jam between songs, similar to how "Your Gold Teeth II" was performed in 1974. No further information is available about any live performances besides that single tidbit, and it was presumably dropped from setlists after 1972.
