"Fire In The Hole" is the seventh track of Steely Dan's debut album Can't Buy A Thrill. It was also released as a the b-side to "Do It Again", a single which charted at #6 on the Billboard Top 100.
"Fire In The Hole" was first played in 1972, possibly at the band's first show. It was played throughout that year and returned to setlists in 1973. It was seemingly a regular during this era, with one reviewer describing its performance as "scorching". The track did not return in 1974, and to this day hasn't been performed live since 1973.
