1993: New Steely Dan

The New Steely Dan tour signified the return of Steely Dan as a group, being their first tour since 1974. Many fan favorites, solo cuts, and tour staples were first performed on this tour. The tour began with diverse setlists of new and old material, ranging from familiar Steely Dan tracks to songs from Donald Fagen's 'The Nightfly' and 'Kamakiriad', the latter being brand new at the time. The sets also contained Walter Becker songs from his then unnamed solo album. However, over the course of six shows, certain songs were nixed from the set. Starting on the August 21st at the Great Woods Center in Massachusetts, the set would stay exactly the same up until the end of the tour.
